Chamber Overview

The US India Chamber of Commerce Austin is an Austin based 501(c)(6) organization whose mission is to support professional, business and economic development throughout Central Texas and facilitate bi-lateral trade with India.

The Chamber consists of businesses and professional members who are interested in engaging with the Indian-American professional and business community in Central Texas and/or interested in bilateral trade and business between Austin and India.

Through the Chamber’s services and events, Chamber members are able to learn about business developments and opportunities, interact with knowledge and thought-leaders, and network with fellow members.

By facilitating meaningful interactions and collaborations, the Chamber empowers enterprises in both regions to capitalize on abundant opportunities. The organization serves as a critical network for exchanging insights and cultivating robust India-US business relationships in Austin’s thriving economic landscape.

Chamber Services & Benefits

The Chamber creates opportunities for its members to connect and grow through the services it provides. Chamber services include, but are not limited to:

1. BUSINESS CONSULTING

The Chamber provides individualized consultative services that enable each member business to pursue its own unique growth path here in Texas or by connecting with India through the support of the Chamber team and other Chamber members. Through this customized approach, the Chamber may facilitate the following to promote member development:

  • Individualized member meeting
  • News and informational materials
  • B2B or B2C referrals and introductions
  • Business promotion (digital, event-specific, etc.)
  • Identifying procurement or other business opportunities

* Business consulting services are provided proportionally based on level of membership


2. EVENTS

Chamber events also provide for member development. These events include:

⦁ Networking Events

The Chamber hosts regular networking events for its members to meet one another, as well as meet with other business and thought leaders. The Chamber carefully curates these events to maximize the networking value.

  • Annual Awards Banquet
  • Members-Only Networking Events

* Networking events may be stand-alone events or combined with other events listed below.

⦁ Knowledge Events (Seminars, Workshops And Forums)

The Chamber hosts seminars, workshops and forums to inspire entrepreneurship, help entrepreneurs and business leaders refine skills and promote business development. These events are hosted periodically throughout the year.

  • Small Business Development Forums
  • Franchising Forum
 

⦁ Conferences

The Chamber hosts two to three conferences a year to inspire professional and business development as well as entrepreneurship. Regularly hosted conferences include:

  • India Conference (a.k.a. Doing Business with India)
  • Technology Conference
  • Women’s Conference
 

⦁ Private Meetings

Occasionally, the Chamber may host private meetings to facilitate member development. These meetings may be for members of a particular size or maybe industry-specific.



3. TRADE MISSIONS

Periodically, the Chamber organizes trade missions to India or hosts reverse trade missions from India to promote bilateral trade between Central Texas and India. The trade missions provide an opportunity for Chamber members to travel to and interact with business operating in India or Central Texas respectively.



4. EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

The Chamber works closely with academic institutions to promote learning opportunities about India and doing business in India by partnering with academic institutions on programs, study-abroad or exchange programs with India or in other ways. The Chamber also provides support to institutions seeking to better understand and interact with the Indian-American community. Institutions supported include:

  • Independent School Districts and Private Schools
  • Community Colleges
  • Universities (Undergraduate and Graduate programs)



5. OTHER MEMBER BENEFITS

The Chamber provides other benefits to its members such as:

  • Discounts at Partner Events (may include discounted ticket prices or discounted booth prices)
  • Member Discounts on business services or retail services (when available)
